I wanted to paint outside on a nearly 100 degree summer afternoon so I descended the many stairs of Huntington Park down to the Spokane River. The breeze from the water and the occasional spray on the air made the temperature down there so much cooler! I found a tiny patch of shade and made a go at capturing the energy and froth of the river.
