Ok, there’s a very funny story about this painting. I did it in person sitting on the floor in the corner of the Doge’s Hall at the Davenport Hotel, sure at any moment I was going to be caught with paint in this gorgeous historic space. As I’m sitting there, working furiously (and silently), a woman comes in and admires the ceiling frescoes. Then she lays down on the floor so she can shoot straight up at the ceiling to capture the paintings. My kind of lady!
When she stands up, she catches a glimpse of me and SCREAMS! She thought she was totally alone! Both of us stand there, hearts beating like rabbits (for sure that scream is going to bring someone!), but nope. No one came. We both left and kept each other’s secrets.
